I have a thing for my wife’s feet

| … shoes! Don’t they go well with the pink socks? |
Jeanne has these shoes. She loves them. I love them. She gets a lot of compliments. They were bought for biking but she wears them even with no intention of riding a bike.An aside: Riding a bike? Isn’t that redundant? With us? Reminds me of a story, i.e. joke, I read. An American visited England and when asked by her host what she would like to do she replied “I have really been looking forward to going horseback riding”. In a proper English accent her host replied “In England we just say ‘riding’, the horse is understood”. They are very attractive shoes and when they wear out we will probably not be able to find new ones. In the midst of an inspiration I snuck (in the South it is snuck) off to WallMonkey, you know where I mean, and bought another pair to put in the closet for a later surprise. However, she saw me come in and had to know what I had and I had to show her for I had no choice. I earned a most sweet smile which left me wanting more but not for long. Jeanne is a “got to know” kind of gal. She even has to know where I eat lunch and what I order. There are some places I can not eat without her, even when she is out of town. She will always ask when she returns and, of course, I can not lie to her, even by omission. |

Hi Maribeth,
a little too something for me but I like’em on her.
Hi meeyauw,
if I was actually the sweetest Jeanne wouldn’t go out of the way to put me on the driver side if she picks me up. I don’t criticize her but I do “make suggestions”. I told her she suffered from “fear of suggestions”. Today she picked me up and arranged it so I was on the driver side. On the way home she made suggestions such as “At the light you can turn right or go straight but it is probably better to go straight this time of day”. I got the point, kept my mouth shut and went straight, even though it is longer.
