… and some don’t have a clue what time it is.
This is the way these trees looked this morning but we’ll see what they look like after tonight’s freeze. I photographed two of them yesterday but they look the same today, holding on as long as they can. I’ve been there.

| Saturday:Well, the above blooms, and my mums, are still holding on. Maybe it needs to be a little more below freezing or for a little longer before they drop. |

… we had a most delightful experience downtown Hattiesburg. Kevin, mostly chef, and Michael, mostly host, serve old-timey hospitality with delicious southern cooking. Warned to go early, we did, and were intertained with interesting stories about Michael’s grandmother and his treatment of her recipes. |

The Oaks Cafe serves breakfast and lunch regularly and dinner 3 days a week (Monday, Thursday, and Friday). The chef\’s dinner special on Friday is a seafood platter. Jeanne and I were stuffed but still requested a doggy bag. Kurt ate all of his and then went for a piece of homemade pecan pie, Jeanne helped. We joined the Browns for dinner; they are the owners of the Calico Antique Mall. |
| “Go early” especially applies for the Sunday buffet. You have to get there before noon or else help form a long line. I can hardly wait. The meat loaf sounds outstanding and Kevin\’s recipe includes jalapeno peppers. Have you ever heard of hot peppers in a meat loaf? I can’t wait. I’ve got to go soon and I will definitely be there before the noon crowd. Yum, yum. I will probably dream about it. I love meat loaf and I love jalapenos. Jeanne is probably looking forward to the homemade chocolate pie which they were all out of last night. |
