Reassemble and reposition water fountain
Setup bird bath
Stabilize plant pole
Hang Plants back on plant goround (plant pole)
Fix and re-hang chimes
Setup yard structures
Enlarge concrete pad
Decide where to put greenhouse
Decide where to put storage shed
Clean out under carport
Cut down tree
Place plants
Rake Yard

Christmas gift for Mom
Friday

Friday, December 23rd, 2005
Hard to buy Mom clothes. She has so many, so many as gifts that she can hardly wear them all. Plants are good. She enjoys them, they die after a while and then we can buy her others. It took some effort to find the two identical containers to match the blooms but I want it to appear to be a thoughtful gift. We will join the family in Mobile tomorrow night for our normal Christmas eve activities.

Thanks Sharon for a great party

It would have been fun without all the extras but the extras just gave us more fun to talk about.
The extras!
1. Live music (don’t you just hate dead music) for dancing
2. Catered
3. Open bar
4. Dirty Santa gifts provided by hostest
5. Souvinear orniment from the tree
We’ll be talking about last Saturday night for a long time.

Those little projects, started, left undone.

If you’re looking for someone who doesn’t leave crums
you should find someone who doesn’t eat on the run.

Season Activities Begin

Today we selected our tree after about 10 minutes of looking. I remember when we would take hours and go to as many as 3 places before agreeing upon one. And sometimes it would be bitter cold. What changed? I’m not entirely sure but it may be that we stopped shopping for price and started shopping for a (not the) tree we liked.

Jeanne has started putting out the decor. Here are 3 new Department 56 pieces she just bought. Most of the decorations are still in the attic and she said she wanted to get them down this evening. Can you guess how “She” is going to get them down. Let me give you a hint: “Supervision” is an important part of any job. Of course she sorts and places as I pass to Kurt and he to her.

How is the 3rd photo related to the season? Well, we have a new theater and it is grand, actually “The Grand”. Very nice! We have been a few times and saw “Rent” last week. Yuk. Didn’t even enjoy the music. Saw the Johnny Cash movie. Loved it. Loved the music. Went out and bought a couple black shirts and pants. Been looking for boots and a hat, black of course. YaHoo, saddle up! I’m talking to you, Jeanne.
